In samenwerking met: Wave of tomorrow
Het festival Shine was het kleine broertje van het Eindhovense festival GLOW. Met tijdelijke architectuur als uitgangspunt, opende het festival het gesprek over alternatief en interactief bouwen.
Op uitnodiging van Wave of Tomorrow bouwde ik op het terrein enkele installaties. Met behulp van de materialen en de beeldtaal uit de festivalwereld, suggereerde ik een veel groter festival dan er werkelijk was. Dranghekken leidden naar veelbelovende poorten waarachter de bezoeker niets anders aantrof dan zichzelf in verwarring.

The Shine Festival was a little brother of the bigger GLOW Festival in Eindhoven. With the help of temporary architecture, the event aimed on starting the debate about alternative and interactive building. The centre of the series of debates, performances, films and lectures was a central festival site. On invitation by Wave of Tomorrow I built several installations there. Inspired by materials and the 'language' of the festival world, my interventions suggested a much larger festival then there really was. Barriers and fences led to promising gates, behind which the visitor found nothing but himself in state of confusion.
